What counts as an API call?
Each request to any endpoint counts as one call. Batch requests count one call per item. Both successful and error responses count toward your limit.
Subscription or pay-as-you-go — which is for me?
Subscriptions suit applications with predictable monthly volume and give the best per-call rate. Pay-as-you-go suits AI agents that make bursts of calls and want to pay only for what they use, with no commitment.
Can my AI agent pay per call?
Yes — two ways. With an API key, pay-as-you-go is billed per call ($0.003 standard, $0.001 at volume, first 1,000 calls/month free). Or fully account-free: autonomous agents can pay per call in USDC on Base via the x402 protocol — the API returns HTTP 402 with payment details, the agent pays and retries, no signup or key needed. Which GWP version do you use?
Every response is labelled with its gas basis (CO₂ vs CO₂e) and GWP version. Pro and above can request AR4, AR5 or AR6 for reporting; defaults follow the latest science where the data supports it.
Can I switch plans at any time?
Yes. You can upgrade or downgrade at any time — changes take effect immediately and we prorate your billing.
What happens if I exceed my limit?
We notify you, and overage is billed at the pay-as-you-go rate or you can upgrade. Your service is never cut off mid-month.
